Hi,

Well I’m trying to put to good use some of the things I learned in Ann Pennstone’s PowerPoint to Podcast class at IL-TCE a few weeks ago. After assembling the assorted hardware and software, and having a social studies class just completing a power point project I thought I would I would use them as part of my first effort to podcast their work. I’m learning that you cannot record more than 4 or 5 students in a 40 minute class with only one microphone. Hopefully I can get things moving a little more smoothly as I become more familiar with the tools. Right now the podcast are located here on my school’s server. Take a listen and see what you think of our first efforts.

I’ll be gone most of next week, Tuesday Feb. 27 and Weds. Feb. 28 I will be at the Illinois Technology Conference for Educators in St. Charles. I’ll be learning about podcasting and other Web 2.0 technologies and how they can be used back here at school. I’ll also be out there on Friday March, 2 to see what’s new in the world of educational  technology. Hopefully, when I return I’ll have some new things to show you on my blog page.
