I’ll be gone most of next week, Tuesday Feb. 27 and Weds. Feb. 28 I will be at the Illinois Technology Conference for Educators in St. Charles. I’ll be learning about podcasting and other Web 2.0 technologies and how they can be used back here at school. I’ll also be out there on Friday March, 2 to see what’s new in the world of educational  technology. Hopefully, when I return I’ll have some new things to show you on my blog page.

The first week of school is almost over and I have just now had a couple of minutes to sit down and write in this blog. Before the year started we had a teacher in-service where I showed all of our teachers how to use this blog, hopefully all of them have begun posting and will continue to do so throughout the year. The response from the teachers was positive and I have already had a few of them come back and ask questions on how to add things or make changes to their blogs, I see this as pretty encouraging and I hope the rest of them start adding to their pages soon. I have a class coming in now so I have to go but I will be back soon.

Sadly to say the 2005-2006 school year is coming to a close. we had a great year here in the LRC from 2nd Grade bat presentations to 8th Grade reports on natural disasters, we had  a very productive year.

Next year we are looking to add Blog spaces for all of the teachers in an effort to better communicate the things we are doing here at Pennoyer with our community and the rest of the world. Hopefully we will be sharing many new and exciiting things in the upcoming year.

Enjoy the summer break and have some fun, we’ll see you back here next fall. Me, I’ll be spending most of this summer hanging out with my buddy, Koda

and working on getting all these blog pages set up for our faculty in the fall.
