Updating Your Blog Page To update your Blog page, which you should be doing at least once a month, follow these steps. 1. Get to your blog page on the internet, (1stinitiallastname.edublogs.org, (ex. jgaliotto.edublogs.org)) or you can go to www.pennoyerschool.org and click on the link to either classrooms or departments, click on the link to your class, and then click on the link to your blog page.
2. Scroll down the right hand side of your page and click on login; enter your login name (1st initiallastname) and password, the one you created on the first day of school. (If you don’t remember your password, click on Lost Your Password.)
3. Once you login you will be at your dashboard. To add a new post to your existing blog, click on Write in the blue bar at the top of your screen.
4. Click in the title bar and add your Title. Click in the post box and write your message. Click on publish, and your blog will be updated. At the top of the page click (View Site) to see your published work.
5. If you wish to add pictures to your post, save the pictures you want to a folder on your desktop (Create a folder called “Blog Pics” on your desk top and save them in there).
6. Once pictures are saved in your desk top folder, open up the post that you wish to put the pictures into. Under the Save and Publish buttons; click on Upload to make sure it is hi-lited.
7. Next to File click on the Browse button. Navigate to your desktop, and then to your Blog Pics folder. Click on the picture you want and click on Open.
8. Click on Upload to get your picture to the Edublogs website.
9. Leave it as thumbnail and Link to: File. Make sure that your cursor is blinking where you want to insert your picture, in the editor where you were typing your post. Click on the Send to Editor Button.
10. When you are finished adding pictures and typing, click on Publish, and your Blog will be available on the Internet.
